Hey Steve-
I saw your mom the other day...She had Mason in the back seat of her car. They seem to have developed quite a bond..We all miss you very much and think about you all the time (esp...when people are talking football.) I wonder if you know all that is going on with Benny..if you do, I ask that you look after him. While you were here, you had a HUGE heart so I believe you would be a wonderful guardian angel.
Love,
Gina

To the Petersons ~ It's been two weeks now since Steve's passing and not a day has gone by that I haven't thought of him. After spending a majority of my youth with him -- from living together, to fantasy football to bus trips to sporting events -- this is something that has hit many of us very hard.

It should be known that Steve was a wonderful human being and a great friend.

This weekend is going to be especially tough because there was not one series between the Yankees and Red Sox that would be played where Steve would not call me to abuse me about something, and I will be waiting for that phone call this weekend even though I know it won't be coming.

I am very sorry for your loss, and may this remind us all exactly how precious life can be. He was a great man who will be missed tremendously.

Steve,
It has been one week and I am sick to my stomach over you dying. I wish you were here and could see how much people cared and loved you.
I am so glad I got to see you in August. It was fun going out to eat, going to the party, and hanging out with you and Mason at the park. You looked so good and were doing so well.
I will surely miss our many phone calls. When I would hear my phone ring and would look at it and saw "Steve Cell" it would make me smile. I knew we would laugh a lot whether we talked about politics or sports.

We had a lot of good times together...I just wish we could have more.
I will always miss my little brother!

Dear Steve,
I had to say good-bye to you on Saturday. My heart is broken!
As our song states when we danced in the "blue room" to the song, Collide by Howie Day, "Even the best fall down sometimes" You picked your feet up again and again! We shared so much together. You were an awesome guy in so many ways, everything a girl looks for. (I would have married you in a heartbeat!) With all the trials and tribulations that we shared good bad and indifferent, I always knew that at the end of the day, you had a big heart and loved me and nothing that happend was intentional. As it was stated at your mass you are living life happier than ever before! I have to believe that. You are on to your new journey in life for god has called you home. You are at peace. I miss you! I wish I could hug you one last time, but for now I left you with one last kiss. Know that I loved you and believed in you. As our song states "I'm close behind." You now know all the anwsers. I remained close behind. And through Chrisey, I continued to care for you and continued to help you from afar. Please know that you were loved by many people. I do not like "good-byes" so in this life time we were not able to overcome obstaceles. We will in the next life-time. Until we meet again, my friend, I know you will be with me, guiding me every step of the way. I choose to remember the good times. Rest in peace and do what god has called you home to do. Until we meet again, Love you always!

I'm so sad to hear of Steve's passing. Although I originally knew Steve during the "Christ The King days" I was lucky to have met up with him again when he started the union with Billy, what a small world it was that he was the guy that Billy was riding to and from apprentiship school with! I will never forget our train trip to Buffalo, the cold, the rain, the wind and the broken heater on the way home, that was a memory I will never forget, I think that is the coldest I have ever been in my life! Although I have never been a Dolphin fan I will think of you everytime I see them play and know that you are in a better place! I'm glad you are finally at peace and I hope you know you will be greatly missed.

to the Peterson Family--

Especially Chrissy,Ma & Mason--
My heart aches for you at this time. knowing this grief, I know there is no way to make the hurt stop, - but with time it becomes something you get used to carrying.
Steve was one of the "good guys", always a smile, always a laugh -- thats how I will remember him --
running, playing and smiling with Mason
My love to you all --
