Maefred Myers Obituary

Myers, Maefred B. GUILDERLAND Maefred B. Myers, 92, formerly of Watertown, died peacefully September 15, 2008, at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Mrs. Myers was born in Watertown on August 9, 1916. She married John W. "Jack" Myers, a yardmaster for the NY Central and Conrail Railroads, who died on July 2, 1993. She was a retail clerk, and also did volunteer work. She moved to Guilderland, September of 2002. Mrs. Myers is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Jack) Hammond, Sackets Harbor, and Mary (William) Baxter, Guilderland; two sons, Peter (Linda) Myers, Parkville, Mo., and Stephen Myers, Ormond Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren; one sister, Jean L. Santay, Dunedin, Fla.; five nieces, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff of Our Lady of Mercy Life Center for the loving care given to Mae during her stay. Services will be in Watertown on Monday, September 22. A memorial gathering will be held at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany, 405 Washington Ave., on Sunday, September 21 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Donations may be made in her name to Habitat for Humanity, 696 Delaware Ave., Albany, NY 12209.
