Sophie H. Young

Young, Sophie H. CLIFTON PARK Sophie H. Young (Cietek), 81, of Clifton Park, died on September 27, 2008 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Laviolette Zeto and the wife of the late William G. Young. Mrs. Young was educated in Lansingburgh and was a retired waitress, having worked for Kirker's Steak House, the Tavern in Troy, Silver Spur in Latham, and Hildreth's Restaurant in Mechanicville. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Darcy Cietek Moran and her husband Paul of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Christopher Moran and fiancee Jennifer Preston of Brooklyn and Sean Moran and his wife Laura of Ballston Lake. She was the sister of Jean Hull of Latham, Ted Zeto of Colonie, John Zeto of Latham, Mary Ann Groff of Speigletown, Ralph Zeto of Troy and the late Raymond Zeto. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Mary of the Assumption Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Friends are invited and may call at the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 870 Second Avenue (124th & 125th Streets) in Lansingburgh on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterford.
