Mary Jane Prescott

Prescott, Mary Jane DELMAR, N.Y. Mary Jane Austin Prescott of Delmar, died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the Community Hospice of Albany, St. Peter's Hospital. Jane was born in Amsterdam, N.Y., the daughter of the late Robert and Susan Neilson Austin. She had resided in the area all of her life and was retired from the New York State Division of Naval Affairs, Albany and also had been a real estate agent. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Albany. Mary Jane was the wife of the late James G. Prescott and is survived by a stepson, Andrew (Kathleen) Prescott of Potomac, Md.; two grandchildren, Katherine and Andrew Prescott; a niece, Andrea (Les Straus) and nephews, Willis and Jay Wendell; and many wonderful friends and neighbors. Funeral service will be Monday 1 p.m., October 27, 2008 at the Tebbutt Funeral Home, 633 Central Avenue, Albany. Relatives and friends are also invited to call Monday 11 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery.
