Florence Lanz Obituary

Lanz, Florence DALLAS, Ga. Mrs. Florence Hedges Lanz, age 71, of Dallas, and formerly of Niverville, N.Y., passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Mrs. Lanz was born on November 12, 1936 in Bridgehampton L.I., N.Y., the daughter of Miriam Fickeissen Hedges and the late Allen Hedges. She worked at Valatie Savings and Loan before retiring to Hilton Head Island, S.C. Mrs. Lanz is survived by a daughter, Laurine M Lanz of Niverville, N.Y.; a son, Edward M. Lanz of Dallas, Ga.; a granddaughter, Melissa D. Lanz of Hiram, Ga.; mother, Miriam Hedges of Bridgehampton, L.I., N.Y.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Lenard Makowski of Jamesport, N.Y. and Ruth Ann and Fredrick Guyer of Bridgehampton, L.I., N.Y.; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Albert and Dorothy Hedges of Bridgehampton, L.I., N.Y., John and Christine Hedges of Tucson, Ariz., Edwin Hedges of Bridgehampton, L.I., N.Y., Thomas William and Barbra Hedges of Mesa, Ariz., Eugene and Caroline Hedges of Spokane, Wash., David and Denise Hedges of Highland Village, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lanz is preceded in death by her husband, Albert F Lanz Jr.; her father, Allen Hedges; and her sister-in-law, Helen Hedges. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Bridgehampton United Methodist Church in Bridgehampton, L.I., N.Y.
