Dear Amy,Doc,Tarek,Alexandra,Carla,Lisa,David & Family:
I am so sorry this is late in coming, but I just heard about your mom today. You were so blessed to have Mary Lou in your life every day! I just adored every inch of her and she was like a mother to me. She had such grace, style and talent, but besides that she had a genuine warmth that made everyone feel welcome. She was so good to me, that I cannot help but feel sorrow today. However, I just have to think about the clamsteam at the lake that didn't start til 1am to bring a smile on my face. I will always appreciate her for what she did for me. I am thinking of you all today, please know how deeply sorry Martin and I are for your loss!

Mgr: You were like a rose poking through the snow. Always beautiful even when everything else was drab or sad. You touched the lives of everyone you met. We are all richer for knowing you and your beautiful family.
Your sense of humor knew no bounds and I so enjoyed it. Each time I pluck a chin hair I'll think of you Mgr. and each time I see a dalmation I'll think of you and anytime I need a boost from a friend I'll think of you.
You'll never be gone from anyone who loved you. Thank you for being you and I'll pray to you always.
Love ya!
Bernie

My deepest sympathy to Carl and the entire Quinlan family for your loss. I just loved Mary Lou and will miss her dearly. Mary Lou was one of Stella’s closest friends and was a great friend to me as well. I am so happy she had the chance to meet my husband (who just adored Queenie). I smile every time I think about the fun we all had together this past February in Key Biscayne.

I have had the fortune of knowing the Quinlan’s for most of my life and my memories of Mary Lou go way back. Mary Lou always made me feel like a member of her family. Her fun loving spirit and laughter and that beautiful smile she always had on her face will stay with me forever. I love and miss you Queenie.

Words fall short in expressing how much we'll miss our "Aunt Marylu." She epitomized living life to its fullest and made countless people -- friends, family and strangers alike -- feel happy and special. The world's sparkle seems to have dimmed a bit with her loss, but heaven surely feels her brilliance. As the cycle of our life here on earth continues with the arrival of Baby Ava, new hopes and dreams are born and -- God willing -- many years of living lay ahead for our tiny ones. A precious gift has been given and another has been taken back ... but all are entrusted to the Lord.

We love you all and feel your hurt,

Mary Margaret and Regan

To "Uncle Carl", Carla, Lisa, David, Amy and familes I send my love. Marylu was such an important part of my life. Without her, I never would have met Patrick. I have such wonderful memories at the lake. That midnight clamsteam, the Gilligan's Island Regatta (Goo was Mrs. Howell of course!) and those last minute dinner parties for ten. She always made it look effortless and never complained about the company or mess. She loved her family so much and enjoyed life to it's fullest. She will be missed by so many people.

My sincere sympathy to Uncle Carl and all of Mary Lou’s family……As part of her “extended family” I share with all of you the sadness of losing such a vibrant wonderful person and rejoice in the pleasure of having her as such an important member of my life for the last 30 + years……

All of us will remember Mary Lou , (also known to us as "Barbie", “Moodie Goo”,
“Queenie” and all of her other fond nick-names) as being able to take a loaf of bread and turning it into an instant banquet, a trinket into a Tiffany Diamond, and a friend into family.

Mary Lou said at the end of their going away party as she and Carl left to live in Key Biscayne, “Don’t cry, I love all of you, but it is time for me to go now. I am going to a better place for us at this time.” If she could tell us that now again, I am sure that she would.

I will hold my memories dear to my heart and pray that in Heaven I will again see Stella, Aunt Esther, Sampson, and Mary Lou waiting for me.

Thank you Mary Lou for the Laughs and the Love you have given to ALL of us. I will miss you and think of you every day. You made this world for me a better place to be.
