Edward Rogers Obituary

Rogers, Edward F. TROY Edward F. Rogers, 92, a former resident of Newtonville, died Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Mr. Rogers was born September 19, 1915 in Watervliet. He was son of the late Edward F. Rogers Sr. and Mary Leahy Rogers and brother of the late Ethel M. Rogers. He was a 1933 graduate of Catholic Central High School, Troy and received a bachelor's degree in economics from Siena College, Loudonville. Mr. Rogers was employed by the Norton Company in Water-vliet for over 40 years. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. He is survived by his family, John P. Maloney and Catherine G. Rexford, both of Latham, and his good friend, Rosemary Miller of Watervliet. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Watervliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Friends are invited and may call Tuesday previous to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet.
