Robert Picard Obituary

Picard, Robert Ernest PEORIA, Ill. Robert Ernest Picard, 81, died October 16, 2007 at Methodist Hospital, Peoria. Robert was born in Lynn, Mass., the son of the late Ernest and Grace Picard. He graduated from VanRens-selaer High School in Rensselaer, N.Y. and Trinidad Jr. College, Trinidad, Colo. His Army service was at Oliver General Hospital, Augusta, Ga. A gunsmith and tool designer, he was employed at Springfield Arsenal, Springfield, Mass., Picatinny Arsenal, Picatinny, N.J., and Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Ill. He is survived by a sister, Norma Picard of Waterford, N.Y.; brother, Richard Picard of Zephyr Cove, Nev.; nephew, Marc Picard of Soquel, Calif. Interment will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 with military honors conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246.
