Raymond Cox Obituary

Cox, Raymond H. GUILDERLAND Raymond H. Cox, 83, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Liberty, N.Y., he was the son of George and Rose Cox. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Cox retired from NYS Office of General Services. He was a life member of the American Legion Post and of the Boyd Hilton VFW Post. He is survived by his wife, Frances Cox; his daughters, Sandra Goulet and Sharon Lukens; a daughter-in-law, Lauren Cox; his stepdaughters, Linda (David) Gardner, Diane (Timothy) Gilligan, Jo-Anne (Mark) Stulmaker; a sister, Alice (Amos) Hallenbeck; a brother, Robert Cox; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, John Cox Sr.; a sister, Margaret DeRose; and two brothers, Ralph and Richard Cox. The family would like to thank hospice and Dr. Daniel Arenos for their care. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-7 p.m. Burial will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. For those who wish contributions in Ray's memory may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
