When I first met Drena at Farm Family Insurance Company, 1985, she welcomed me with open arms. She gave me for christmas a beautiful glass ball ornament that I hang every year at the top of my tree. It is special to me and is gathered with my childrens first ornaments and is spoke of every year. I have recieved a christmas card every year from her with only "love Drena" I wish she had said more. She always wanted children and was very happy for my first, who is Sean, that I have pictures of together. Drena was special to me because she was so kind and loving no matter who you were. She had a special touch. I will miss her this Christmas and every Christmas to come. Her simply cards were just a thought that you are in my mind even if we don't have time to get together. There should be more people like Drena, the world would be a better place. My condolences to all who know and loved her. She is with her kind now, the Angels. Love, your friend, JoAnn

Drena and I were very close friends and girl scouts growing up as young teenagers, when my family, the Poll family, was living on Schoharie Turnpike. My mom let me know of Drena's passing and I am sad. I must say when I visit NY every year and driving down 9W I always looked up at the Matson family home and thought of her and wondered what she was up too. We haven't been in touch in about 35 years but she was never far from my thoughts when I visited my parents. My thoughts are prayers are with you Gary and your family. Warm regards, Kathy Poll Isely
