Paul Smith Obituary

Smith, Paul D. WATERFORD Paul D. Smith, 58, of 3rd Avenue, died suddenly Saturday, October 27, 2007 at his residence. Born in Troy, he was the son of Robert E. and Muriel Boudreau Smith of Waterford. He was a graduate of Waterford Halfmoon High School. Paul has been employed for the past six years at Walmart in Clifton Park. Prior to that, he was employed at Airborne Express and Signature Flight. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He was a former member of the Adult Softball League in Waterford and had coached Waterford Youth Council Little League Baseball. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Justin P. Smith (Kathleen A.) and Kaci M. Smith of Waterford; his siblings, Robert Smith of Niskayuna, Kim Ferguson of Fla., Kellie Smith of Waterford and Timothy Smith of Troy; and his grandson Stephen Fratianni. Also surviving is his former wife Nancy S. Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rt. 32), Waterford and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Waterford-Halfmoon School, Chris Roberts Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home office.

Dad,
Its Almost Been 5 Months sence you have been gone and i still feel like just yesterday i was at your house staying there for the night and having you yelling at me because i took off with the car, It feels so weird with out you around anymore its not the same at all i did not only lose my father but i lost a friend, even if did yell at me for no reason some times ha, i know your up there looking down and watching over all of us , i really miss you alot i just wish i could have you back and talk to you one more time see you again, i got a new job working with kids something i like to do, so i will be working two now to make the money i love to spend, i know thats something that you would want me to do and get on my feet and be on my own right now its the only thing i can do and its something that i have to do, i know that not like your reading this but it is the only way i can say how i feel, i hope the after life is treating you good, i see rose alot and talk to her i guess we are going to go out to lunch soon , its hard seeing her cause it reminds me so much of you and i just feel like that you are going to show up some where or be working when i am in walmart.. but i am hanging in the best i can its been along 4 1/2 months with out you and the holidays are even harder with out you.. but i know ur Looking down on all of us and making sure everyone is alright . But its almost time for me to go home from work now.. just wanted to get a little out .. Guess i will See you in my dreams and write to you more Later on...


PS. I SAVE THE VOICE MAILS U LEFT ME ON MY BRITHDAY JUST SO I CAN HEAR YOUR VOICE WHEN I AM NOT IN A GOOD MOOD OR JUST WANNA HEAR YOU "whateva whateva " thats german for whatever ... only you would say that all the time and i miss it! it always made me laugh!well.. i am going to get going now.....

Dear Paul, I don't know if I can do this just yet for I feel sometimes you are still here! Whenever the phone rings on Saturday mornings sometimes I'm afraid to pick it up thinking maybe it will be you and I don't want my hopes shot down once again! I miss you so so very much!!! You were the best brother any sister could ask for! I really didn't realize how many people really loved you till you were gone!! Dad,

I dont know where to start!... i still feel like this is all a nightmare and i just want to wake up from it,You were the best father that anyone could ever ask for i would give anything just too see you again or hear your voice, i can still hear u sitting at the table yelling at me then after sitting there saying"whateva , whateva thats german for whatever" you always new how to make everyone laugh,no one can ever take your spot, no one is going to be able to replace your breakfast you were the only on that new how to cook eggs the way i like them... all the good time memories that we have had , partys in the yard swimming and tanning by the pool, using your car then u calling me 10 min later telling me to get the car back.. im going to miss alot dad theres not going to be a day that goes by that i dont think of you... never going to be the same fishing with out u there , you were the only one that would take the fish off my pole.. theres soo many thing and i cant belive that the day came that you went away , i always told my self that u were going to live forever because i needed u there by my side, but i will always and forever be DADDYS LITTLE GIRL!! and nothing is ever going to change that ... you are going to be missed by many dad....
