Patricia Valette Obituary

Valette, Patricia LAKE PLACID, N.Y. Patricia Mitchell Valette, 83, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid, N.Y., where she had been a resident since June, 2005. She was born in Lake Placid on March 17, 1924, the daughter of Harklas and Beatrice (McCasland) Mitchell. She was a graduate of Lake Placid High School, class of 1942, and a graduate of North Country Community College with a degree in nursing. Mrs. Valette worked as a legal secretary for Valette Law Firm in Fulton, N.Y. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Fulton, N.Y., former president of the Fulton Skating Club and a member of the Fulton Garden Club. Mrs. Valette is survived by one son, Mark Valette and his wife Kate of Niskayuna, N.Y.; one daughter, Cara Kennedy and her husband Chris of Lake Placid; three granddaughters, Kelly Valette of Niskayuna, Carissa Kennedy, and Mia Kennedy, both of Lake Placid; one aunt, Blanche McCasland of Lake Placid; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Timothy Mitchell, and her sister, Joan Fezett. Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid. A funeral service will be held Friday November 2 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid.
