Remembering my Mom as we draw near to the 12th anniversary of her passing. I think of her often, and delight in knowing I can speak to her out loud (though she has not answered...) anytime anywhere, and do so when I am remembering something she did or said.
I keep her memory in my heart, and know that she is enjoying everlasting life in heaven surrounded by loved ones who preceded her and followed.

I am so pleased to see what you all have said about my Mom. Indeed she was one very special person! She had nicknames for us all as some of us had for her. She was witty, intelligent, and oh so funny! I love you Hozukas (my nickname for her)Your son, Scott Alan

Grandma was always alot of fun, no matter what we were doing. I will really miss that. She was smart, caring, considerate, and most of all she loved her family. She never forgot to send a birthday card or some other occasion, she always had others on her mind. She is in a much better place now and for that we can all find happiness and comfort. She will be missed.

Although new to the family, Joan touched my heart very deeply. Her love of the Lord was apparent, her love of her family - kids, was, too. We can never know what is in anyone's heart - we can only surmise emotion from what is said. Plainly speeking, your MOM was very proud of all of you and is now in a better place, devoid of pain, looking down, I'd hope, full of pride for all you've accomplished and become. I love you all and Mom, you did a great job! xo Ellen

Grandma was a special woman, which no words can describe. She will be missed incredibly. By celebrating her life, the family was able to come together to laugh and cry as we remembered this wonderful woman.

Although I hadn't seen her in quite a few years, I share your grief at the loss of Joan. I always enjoyed her visits to my office.
