John Tricchinelli Obituary

Tricchinelli, John M. WEST ALBANY John M. Tricchinelli, 89, of West Albany, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2007 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Albany, John was the son of the late Giuseppe and Lisetta (Buono) Tricchinelli. John was joined in marriage to the former Olga Saroka. The two shared a blessed union of love and devotion for over 56 years. During World War II, John worked at the Watervliet Arsenal. After the war, he spent many years as a hardworking, successful salesman at Capital Buick on Central Ave. in Albany. Through the years, he loved to travel with his family. He was also a lifelong fan of the NY Yankees and, after his retirement, he enjoyed taking road trips and going to hockey games with his boys. His family will miss him and may his memory be eternal. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife Olga, are his loving son, Mark and his wife Dace. He was also the proud grandfather to Robert and Peter, and was a close buddy of "Sir Baxter". Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham on Friday, November 9 from 5-7 p.m. A celebration of John's life will take place immediately following the visitation at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mark, Dace, Robert and Peter (and, of course, Olga),

We are thinking of you all during this time of sadness. Papa was a wonderful man, who so loved his family, especially his grandchildren, his "boys". We will keep him alive in our memories. Let us celebrate the wonderful life that he lived.

SEE YOU LATER

You may already know of the world's spoken word
It hurts sometimes badly and is mistakenly heard.
But I want you to know of the sorrow I see
For the loss of Uncle Johnny, who was precious to me.

He may be departed, but he'll always be there
We have to believe, we still have to care.
The Lord has come down and carried him home
The pain and the hurt have no where to roam.

As our days pass on by, we'll remember his smile
And the laughs that we shared more than once in a while.
No words to be spoken, our thoughts he will see
Forever and always, that's the way it will be.

The tears that we shed should be for this day
For the thoughts of Uncle Johnny, as he passed away.
But cry for him happy, don't cry for him sad
He's now with our Lord, and that isn't so bad.

Say good-bye to the heartache, the hurt and the pain
Uncle Johnny is now happy, without any strain.
He tried all he could and fought to the end
But the fighting is over; he's now with a friend.

Dying is worse for those who must stay
And pick up the pieces and put them away.
We'll remember the good times and a moment or two
These memories will comfort and help us get through.

Now Uncle Johnny has died, but this isn't the end
'See you later,' we say, till we see him again.
Good-bye is so final, so cold and so bare
'See you later,' we'll say, for we always will care.

Please dry up your eyes and put things to rest
He's right up above us, let's show him our best.
I know that it hurts to lose those that you love
But he's free of his sorrow and pure as a dove.

It is so very hard to finally let go
But give it a try; I'm sure he will know.
If we remember the good times, his departure could be
A time of enlightenment, a fond memory.

Life now without him will cause us to tear
But there is something special that I want you to hear --
Please cry for him happy, for this isn't the end
'See you later,' Uncle Johnny, for you're now with a friend.
