Miriam Mabey Obituary

Mabey, Miriam E. GREENVILLE, N.Y. Miriam E. Mabey, 76, of Greenville, passed away suddenly at her home on November 8, 2007. She was born in Rochester, N.Y. on March 21, 1931, daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruth (Hamm) Clark. Miriam was a former sales clerk at Von's Department Store in Greenville and loved helping out at the day care center at the Greenville-Norton Hill U.M.C. An excellent seamstress, she also raised and sold parakeets. She also loved to paint. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be missed by her loving family and her many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Mabey. Surviving are three daughters, Jill Holmberg (Peter) of Queens-bury, N.Y., Penelope Henry of South Cairo, Terry Preisner (Richard) of Freehold, N.Y.; a son, William Mabey (Diane) of Greenville; two stepsons, Kenneth Mabey (Charlene) of Windham, N.Y. and Wayne Mabey (Yvonne) of Hyde Park, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grand-children; two brothers, Willis and Donald Clark; three sisters, Helen Hazzard, Willow Clark and Dorothy Moore; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Monday, November 12, 10 a.m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Greenville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Those who desire may contribute in her memory to the Greenville-Norton Hill U.M.C. or to the American Lung Association.
