Domenic Caminiti

Caminiti, Domenic J. DELMAR Domenic J. Caminiti, 87, died Saturday November 10, 2007 at St. Peter's Hospital after a long illness. Born and educated in Albany, he was the son of the late Carmelo and Margherita (Guiliano) Caminiti. He was a graduate of Siena College where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. Mr. Caminiti was an Army Veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre. He was the chief of the production planning and control division of the Watervliet Arsenal, retiring in 1981 with over 40 years of federal service. After his retirement, he was instrumental in organizing workshops where he volunteered helping area senior citizens with the preparation of their income taxes. Mr. Caminiti was an active Communicant of the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle and a member of the Nathaniel Adams Blanchard Post #1040 of the American legion. He was a former member of the Pinehaven Country Club, an avid golfer and a huge fan of the N.Y. Yankees. Beloved husband of 64 years of Vincenta Iannelli Caminiti; father of Linda (Anthony) Welcome of Knderhook and Charles (Michelle Daly) Caminiti of Jupiter, Fla.; grandfather of Jennifer Lynn, Jaime Leigh and Andrew Anthony Welcome; brother of Philomena Caminiti Moran, Jennie Caminiti Prudente, Mary Caminiti Young and the late Joseph Caminiti; brother-in-law of Joan Cerutti Caminiti and the late John Moran, Angelo Prudente and William Young. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar.
