M. Maureen Lenseth

Lenseth, M. Maureen SLINGERLANDS M. Maureen Lenseth, 71, of Slingerlands, died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at home after a long struggle with lung cancer. Born February 10, 1936, Maureen was the daughter of the late Matthew and Edith McIver Dempsey of North Adams, Mass. Maureen graduated from Drury High School in North Adams and Becker Junior College in Worcester, Mass. Her last and most enjoyable place of employment was with Ackroyd Metal Fabricators, Inc. of Albany where she spent the last 17 years as a bookkeeper. Maureen was a member of Normanside Country Club and a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar. She enjoyed golf, reading, and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her husband, Richard; a daughter, Sheila (William) Werren of Fallston, Md.; a son, Matthew Hackett of Voorheesville; her brother, Jack Dempsey of North Adams and a sister, Carolyn Dempsey of Dalton, Mass.; three grandchildren, Andrew and Jasmine Werren and Eilish Hackett; six stepchildren, 20 step-grand-children, nine step-great-grand-children; two nieces, a nephew and their families. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2007 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. There will be no calling hours.
