Dear Carol and Ted,
I was sorry to read of your mother's death. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and I put your name in our parish prayerbook.
Unfortunately, I am not able to join you at Ethel's wake nor funeral. Thursday I have a Communion Service at Good Samaritan Adult Home at 10:00. I was principal at St. Catherine of Siena School from 1960-63 and then taught upper grades from 1963-65. You probably don't remember me, but I recognized your names. I have been at St. Thomas since 1965 doing pastoral care work. That means I visit our parishioners in nursing homes and hospitals and bring Communion to our homebound.
Because of my schedule I attend Mass at St.Catherine's at 8:15 Mon.,Thurs., and Fri. usually.

Ted and Carol,
Our sincere sympathy on the loss of such a fine person. While they were friends back in the days of St. Catherine's bowling league, your mother was a good friend to our mom in later years as well.
We will remember her in our prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Ethel and worked for her in the St. Rose financial aid office while I was a struggling student. She had the kindest heart and sharpest wit, and she was a great friend, as well. Ethel took me under her wing and taught me so much. Please take comfort in knowing that she touched many people along the way. She will always be remembered fondly.

My deepest sympathy to the family, Having known Ethel very little, I met her when she accompanied Carl to the CAAMP functions a few years ago.
