Catherine, Cathy, mom, grandma, friend, ("Mother Superior"),
These are all the names Cathy was known for. To many of us it was simply Cathy, for others such as her students “Mother Superior” her given title by Marie Cullen. She was a wonderful person who gave much to all those she encountered. Cathy was dedicated in many aspects of her life, her family, her friends and her career. For many she was a rock steadfast and immovable. For many others she was a shoulder to cry on, a friend in the time of need. The lives she has touched will forever remember her. On behalf of the Capital Region BOCES,
I would like to offer this small acknowledgment to Catherine.

We want everyone to know that we are most saddened to hear of the passing of Catherine Picard. More importantly, we want you to know that Cathy was a person who left footprints on many hearts. We will always be grateful for having the opportunity to meet such a wonderful person. Please accept our deepest sympathy to all her friends and family. Cathy has set sail on a ship and as we bid her farewell from this life, remember the sun rises in the harbor on the other side. May we all find consolation in knowing that as her ship arrives in that beautiful harbor, she is being welcomed by all those who have set sail before her. May God Bless and comfort us all during this most difficult time.

Regards,
Teresa Dee Jones

I am so sorry for your loss. Cathy truly was a wonderful person and I was blessed to have known her even for such a short time. We had many good times together and she always made me laugh. Even if she did "knock" me out at poker.

You are in my thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

Michelle, Bob, and Debbie,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I have often wondered how all of you were doing, when I would take a ride through "the old neighborhood." Take comfort in knowing that your Mom is at peace and with each and every one of you every day, a special angel to guide the grand and great grand children.
