Frances Adelson Obituary

Adelson, Frances G. GLENVILLE, N.Y. Frances Grace Adelson, 66, of Glenville, passed peacefully Wednesday morning, December 5, 2007 at Albany Medical Center after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was employed the past 26 years as an operator for Schenect-ady's Off Track Betting Parlor. She leaves her husband of 44 years, Donald S. Adelson; children, Michele (Renard) Cohen of Kunkletown Pa., Brian (Lisa) Adelson of Wilton, JoAnn M. Adelson of Schenectady and Melanie (Gary) Livingston of Glenville; ten grandchildren; brothers, Joseph (Michele ) and John (Patti) Alfano, Dolores (Kirk) Koenig and locally Lea Alfano; and dear family friend Judy Pomakoy of Delmar; nieces, nephews and cousins. Services Monday 11:00 a.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home, 730 Union Street Schenectady, Fr. Martin DeRose officiating. Spring interment in Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johns-town. Calling hours Sunday 4-7 p.m. at Gleason Funeral Home. Family will receive callers also on Monday and Tuesday after 7 p.m. at 1137 Spearhead Dr., Glenville. Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Albany, NY 12211 or the Diabetes Assoc., 7 Washington Pl., Albany, NY 12205.
