Edward Kruk Obituary

Kruk, Edward Anthony COHOES Edward Anthony Kruk, 82, died Thursday, December 6, 2007 after a long courageous battle with cancer, at his home in Cohoes surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Glenville, N.Y., the son of John and Mary (Lucas) Kruk. Edward was a lifelong Capital District resident. He married Maria Francesca "Dolly" Campisi, April 6, 1947. They were married for 55 years until her passing in 1992. Ed was a US Navy veteran, serving in World War II. After the Navy, he took a job with GE where he worked for 40 years as a machinist, retiring in 1987. He more recently worked at Wal-Mart. Ed was a greeter there for five years, starting in 1999. Edward was a loving family man who loved woodworking, cooking for friends and family, visiting casinos and watching western movies. He is survived by his daughters, Terry LaMalfa Brennan and Darlene DeCarlo; granddaughters, Tiffany and Angelica La-Malfa and great-grandson, Tijay Lucas LaMalfa Chase. Edward is also survived by his close companion, Nancy Fingar; and her children, Harriet Snyder, Nancy Snyder, Gail Klein, Homer Snyder, Mary Ellen Lasek, Irwin Fingar Jr., Fred Fingar and Susan Cleveland. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 12:00 to 1:00. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. To leave a special message for the family online, visit www.NewcomerFamily.com
