Adele McConville Obituary

McConville, Adele COLONIE Adele (Toot) (Sis) McConville, 78, of Colonie, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Albany Memorial Hospital. She was born in Queens, N.Y. and was the daughter of the late George and Estelle Ranzette. Originally from Bellmore, N.Y., Toot was a licensed practical nurse and had worked at the Cerebral Palsy Center in Roosevelt, Long Island for several years. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Adele enjoyed reading, sewing, art and antiques. Adele collected antique spoons with her granddaughter, Kelsey, antique purses and had an awesome collection of amethyst stones. She attended Fashion Institute in New York City. A meticulous dresser, Adele was always seen with her matching bow, scarf and her long braided hair. She was a brave woman who battled leukemia and lymphoma with a remarkable spirit that never gave up. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas McConville. Adele is the beloved mother of Sheryl McConville of Colonie, Neil (Maria) McConville of Lake Mary, Fla. and Scott McConville of Manhattan. She is the loving grammy of Kelsey Jacobsen of Colonie, Michael and Sarah McConville of Florida. Sis is the sister of George Ranzette of Chincoteague Island, Va. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to the devoted staff at Albany Memorial Hospital, 6th. floor and Dr. Taft and Dr. Lyman. Memorial services will be Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Memorial contributions may be made to NY Oncology Hematology, 400 Patroon Creek Blvd., Albany NY 12206 in memory of Adele McConville.
