Ann Gillick Obituary

Gillick, Ann M. WYNANTSKILL Ann M. Gillick died on Sunday, December 9, 2007 after a long illness at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Rogers Williams, formerly of Troy. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Gillick, formerly of Troy. She was a homemaker in Wynantskill for many years, and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. For the past three years, she was a resident of Van Rensselaer Manor. She is survived by her children, Patricia (John) Marra of Grafton, Janice (Paul) Nicoll of Melrose, Mary (Lewis) Church of Grafton, John J. Gillick Jr. of Troy, Diane (Stephen) Struss of Brunswick and Michael F. Gillick of Troy; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Unit C-1 at Van Rensselaer Manor and the Community Hospice for their kindness and care of Ann and her family. The funeral will be on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Ave. at Parkview Court, Troy and at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Troy where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Donations, in Mrs. Gillick's memory, may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer Co., 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.

Ann was a wonderful woman who i had the pleasure of caring for these last couple of years. i will miss her great smile and wonderful sense of humor. i'am sorry for your loss
