Finkle, Anthony "Tony" J. Jr. SCHODACK LANDING Anthony "Tony" J. Finkle Jr., of Schodack Landing, died Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Barnwell Health Facilities. Born February 2, 1926 in Cooperstown, N.Y., he was the son of Anthony J. and Alice (Hotaling) Finkle Sr. Tony served in the US Coast Guard during World War II. Following the war, he served in the Naval Reserve and was recalled to active duty during the Korean War. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long career in banking. He was a graduate of Castleton High School and Albany Business College. Tony is survived by his wife, Lena (Longo) Lebrecht Finkle; two daughters, Karen (Michael) Rosen of Chatham Center and Kim Goodall of Ballston Spa; a sister, Joyce (Charles) Axtmann of Castleton; four grandchildren, Ryan (Heather) Goodall of Rensselaer, Shana Goodall of Fountain Inn, N.C., Jennifer Rosen of Burlington, Vt. and Steven Rosen of Chatham Center; as well as three great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew and several cousins. Tony is also survived by two stepsons, Clarence "Chip" (Karen) Lebrecht of Castleton and Gordon (Krista) of Schodack Landing and three step-grandchildren, Stephanie Lebrecht of Albany, James Lebrecht of Castleton and Joseph Lebrecht of Fla. Tony was a 60-year member of VanRensselaer Lodge #87 of Free and Accepted Masons of East Greenbush, formerly Sunnyside Lodge of Castleton. A memorial service will be held at the Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Avenue, Castleton on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the charity of one's choice.
