Dear Judee,

I was saddened to learn of your father's passing and sorry I was unable to pay my respects in person. Although we know that someday we will lose our parents having that knowledge doesn't make it any easier when it happens. I'm sure he and your mother are happy to be reunited and hopefully that will give you some solace. May the memories of both of your parents help you, your brothers and their families through this difficult time. Know that you and they are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jim and I are thinking of you, and wish you well during this sad period, and so soon after losing your dear mother. I still remember your lovely wedding wearing your mother's beautiful silk dress, from your father's WWII parachute.
