To my family & all of Michaels friends,
There are no words to express the enormous loss we are all experiencing. The will forever be a void in our lives where Michaels life was so prematurely taken from him. I am just thankful that at least he died doing what he loved. Diving was his passion. To our family: we love you all & regret that we cannot be there due to our fathers recent quadruple bypass last week. You are in our prayers in this dark time. To my brother: Rest in peace bro...we love you. You will forever be an inspiration to us all!

Lisa,

A heavy heart struck me when I heard the news of Mike's passing. He was a great mentor to me, and everyone that knew him.

His knowledge, his kind words, and his helping hands will never be forgotten by any of the many friends, co-workers or loved ones.

He will be missed dearly...

My Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of grief. May your wonderful memories bring you comfort. I had the pleasure of knowing Mike for about a year. I was blessed to go on a couple of dives with him, share laughs and listen to dive stories. He was very respected and will be truly missed!

"Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." Matthew 5:8
May you find comfort in remembering all the guidance, strength and love with which your Husband and Daddy touched your life. Those precious gifts will always live on in all of you.
We have seen strength, like an oak in the storm...We have felt gentleness, like a golden summer dawn...We have felt protection, like a shelter all around...All from a life that gave life...All from our Father's love...May God always keep you safe and loved in your time of great sorrow. Lisa, and family, we will love you and hold you dear, we will all pray for your understanding and guidance so that your heart may find peace. God loves you all and will keep you safe in your times of great sorrow. God is Blessing you all.

Lisa,

I am unable to get to Jacksonville at this time, but my wife and son will be attending in my place. I want you to know that Mike was more than my instructor, he felt more like like a brother to me. He was not only my mentor and my close friend, he was someone with whom I could relate to and held a lot of respect for. I am a better person for knowing Mike, and a better diver because of Mike. Because of him, there are many lives he has touched and his passing will leave a void in their hearts that will always be there. Thank you for sharing Mike with all of us......
