Wow, yesterday was quite a day. We really sent Ray off in style, thanks to Heather & her family, Salem Church, and to all of Ray's friends & family. Ray would have enjoyed everyone's speaking and the musical performances, everyone's words were incredible and poignant. Our hearts are still broken and it still feels like time has stood still since March 17th, but the last couple of days have helped immensely.

Ray was a perfect fit in any crowd. The friends who gathered at his service were a testament to that.

Thank you Heather, for putting on such a fitting farewell.

This is so surreal. Wake me when it's over.

Whenever someone said "Ray's here!" it usually meant the party was about to be called to (dis)order and the fun would ratchet up a notch or three. I always had a great time when Ray was around, and his presence loomed as large as the hole left by his passing.

I know this: Ray was enormously proud of "his girls," and there's no doubt his last thought could only have been about how much he loved Heather and Amelia. With you both, we will all miss Ray. We was robbed. Ray was one of a kind. He'll always live large in the hearts of his friends.

Heather and Amelia,

We're so sad to think of Ray gone, and we're just glad to say that we knew him and considered him a friend. We have so many memories of Ray over the years, but none quite as poignant as seeing the three of you as a family. Help Amelia remember her Momma-Daddy, and keep these rememberances of Ray so she will know just how much he was loved, and how much he loved you. Our love to you both, and our prayers are with you.

RAY-MONDO!!

You will deeply be missed by many.

I've always known Ray to be a pretty hillarious guy and have always thought of him as that until I saw him with his daughter.

I thought "what a big softy!"

Not only was he hillarious, he was a proud father and husband.

We'll miss you Raymondo

The most wasted of days is one without laughter....

Thank you Ray for never wasting a day. Let the light continue to watch over you as you move forward in your journey.

Heather - it has been a while, but know that every day my heart aches for you and sends you light and energy to guide you through this time.

Amelia - Your father shared so much with so many, as evidenced by the messages here, cherish these words and carry him with you - he will always watch over you.

To the rest of Ray's friends an family, thank you for sharing such a wonderful person with the rest of us. May peace find you and guide you through these times.

God bless.

Dear Heather, Amelia, Linda and Ray's Siblings:

It's so hard to lose someone you've loved. But-you remember his love for you and the aura of fun and laughter he brought with him. This next year will be so hard. But I know you will be there for each other, with love.

To Ray's friends: you and Ray have had such a great bond, I know that you also are hurting. I know you all treasure that bond and your great friendships, will show love for each other and know that Ray's love and humor will always be around you all.

My prayers go for all of you.

Love, Dori Ullman

Ray stands tall in the minds of anyone he touched. Very few can have character and be a character at the same time. Ray had it down to a science.

To his family--there are a huge number of people with you right now. My wife and I and our families wish you all the best.

One thing's for sure--Ray will clear us some room on the other side! Peace.

I feel that I came away from it a better human being for it, and I know that despite the tough times ahead, the wonderful family and friends you surround yourself with will help you through.

Please don't hesitate to call on me for ANYTHING you need in any capacity.

Unfortunatley, I did not have the opportunity to know Ray very well, but I do know the some of the people he was closest to. Knowing them, I can tell he was a person I wished I could have gotten to know better. My thoughts go out to all of his friends and family, you are an amazing group, he was lucky to have you all and you all are blessed to have each other. My thoughts are with all of you and especially Heather and little Amelia.

Ray,

It is now 4:39, and I am expecting you to show up any minute to pick up Amelia....To hear your "WHAS UP" as you walk in the door.......to make me smile- no matter what you say. You were truly the humor and smile in my day - every day. I will be telling Amelia in the years to come how she would get so excited to see you coming that she would let out a huge happy scream. And there you would be - just as happy to see her too. Giving her hugs and kisses, instantly changing you from "Cool Ray" to "Daddy Ray". It still makes me smile. I will miss you so much.

Ray was a unique personality who made this world a much better place. For those of us lucky enough to have known Ray his memory will never fade. The stories, the humor, the joy, the mischeivous sparkle in his eye, and good times he brought to our lives will not be forgotten. Your memory will be cherished, thanks Ray!

Friends and Family,

Ray will always be remembered for his larger than life personality. He was always able to get me to break into a smile in the best and worst situations. I'm certain everyone has a "Ray story", and over the past few days I've heard and told a few.

Ray, cheers to you for touching us all. You have left a hole in our hearts where you used to be.

No doubt the biggest gift Ray gave to us along with his constant unwavering friendship was all the laughs & I do mean laughin' till you were cryin' in many cases. Everyone who knew him probably has had his phrases & snappy one-liners ringing in their heads all week long. We're lucky to have all those memories, there are so many of 'em I can't stop counting. You were the Man, Raymondo!
