Iris,
I cannot begin to express the sorrow I feel for you and your family. I just met Dennis a few weeks ago when he came to your office and it was so evident the loved shared between the two of you. I so enjoyed meeting him and joking with him. What a great sense of humor he had. You have always been a great Mother and do not deserve this tragedy. May God bless you and your family and help you deal with this great loss.
Love,
Kathy

My precious friend Iris,
Only God knows how many prayers I've prayed for you since hearing about your son's passing. Iris, I am not only heart broken for you, Dennis and your children but for me who know how many prayers you have prayed on his behalf. I have never known a better mother nor a mother who love and pray for her children the way that you do. I wish I knew exactly what to say to you Iris that would bring healing to your heart and to your soul. If I knew just one word, or any words that would lessen your pain, you know I would speak it on your behalf right now. Iris, the prayer that I've prayed most is that God will take care of you and Dennis and the children and give you peace even in this very difficult time. Iris, you and Dennis gave your son all that he needed to one day do what we all long to do after this life is over, and that is to make Heaven his home. I believe that when God called out Little Dennis' name, he gently gave God his hand and Heaven rejoiced as he was welcomed into Heaven. Death has no victory over him nor you, for death is not the end. You will meet again on that great day that the dead in Christ will raise and those who remain will be caught up to met him in the air. I speak an overwhelming presence of God's love, peace that flows like a river, and even joy, in the midst of your sorrow. My friend, I promise to cover you, Dennis and the children both day and night doing this the most difficult time of your life. Remember Iris, God has not forgotten you, for you are still his beloved. I love you my precious friend.
Yours in Christ Jesus
Mel

Iris, my heart breaks for you. I am so sorry this has happened. A mother (a parent) should never have to bury her child. Words cannot even begin to express my sentiments. I pray that your higher power provides you and your family with the strength to make it through this day forward. You, Dennis, Tomika, Asia, and Terrell are all in my thoughts and prayers.
