BUTLER RONADO JOHN BUTLER On Saturday, January 10, 2009 of Fort Washington, MD. Son of William Priester and Sintrel Butler-Parker; stepson of Terry Parker. Also surviving are three brothers, Vincent Butler, Shaiyd Butler and Antonio Erby; grandmothers, Jacqueline Brown Horne and Mary Priester; Grandfather, Columbus Horne; great-grandmother, Elizabeth Butler and a host of relatives and friends. Viewing, Saturday, January 17, 10 a.m. until time of Service, 12 noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 909 Queen Street, Alexandria, VA. Interment Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA. Arrangements by THORNTON FUNERAL HOME, Pomonkey, MD.

I guess I will just speak from the heart. I’m still in shock about you being in heaven right now. I remember being new to Friendly HS and you were one of the first people I got to know. You have always been a good friend to me. I remember how comfortable I felt when I was around you. You had a very calming spirit and overall you’ve been a very sweet person to me…like an angel I guess. I wish that you were still here but, I understand why god has called you (an angel) home. It hurts me to think about what things would be like in your future if you were still here. I know you would’ve been able to accomplish all of your goals and I know you would’ve been a great Father. Ronado was a very dear friend of mine and we shared countless memories together. I have known him since middle school and he has been one of my best friends.

I cannot imagine exactly how you feel. But I do pray that God grant you the peace and comfort that you so deserve and need. In time, your ultimate joy will be restored and you will be able to freely enjoy the abundant life of happiness and prosperity that God predestined for each of you.

Man, I can remember it like it was yesterday... Ronado and I used to get in soo much trouble at our baby sitters house. (Mrs. Allen), all she had to do was give us a distinct look and from that look we would get our act together, if not the ruler would sure enough come out and get cracked on someones behind. There were so many good times there, from our early childhood to now he will remain in my heart. He was a great friend. Ronado was truly a wonderful, kindhearted and gifted person. To be taken away at such a young age is devastating, I can honestly say that he is in a much better place now. I send my condolences out to his family, and I will keep you up in prayer.
