CALDWELL SHAI ROXANNE CALDWELL (Age 19) On June 3, 2009. Survived by daughter, Amajae R. Davis; parents, Sylvia Caldwell of Bowie, MD and Norman V. Cousins of Greensboro, NC; three brothers, Carlos, Kevin and Wendell; two sisters, Nicola and Shate; nine uncles, three aunts and a host of relatives and friends. Services on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Evangel Cathedral, 13901 Central Ave., Upper Marlboro, MD, visitation, 10 a.m. to 12 Noon; services immediately following. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Amajae R. Davis Foundation. MID-ATLANTIC CREMATION, 301-257-9904.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I remember Shai's pretty smile and her laugh. Shai was a beautiful girl since I have known her. I will miss her dearly with all my heart. You and your family will always be in my heart and my prayers.

There are no words out there right now that can take away your pain but please know that GOD is always there for you and your family. I prayed that GOD give you and your family the strength to go on because that's what Shai would have wanted for your guys. She was an innocent and beautiful person inside and outside. I still remembered when she visited M/I Homes and she will always give me a hug and smiled. I know I did not know her that well but when I heard the news it felt like I had lost someone special. Just remember your guys are going through trials and tribulations and GOD will pull your through the storm. I prayed that peace be with you and your family right now and remember Shai was a happy person and inspirations to the people she came into contact with. Shai will definitely be greatly missed!

Ms.Sylvia I Am So Sorry For The Lost Of Shai...Im So Hurt Behind This Tragedy So I Could Imagine What You Feel. Me And Shai Spent 2 Years In High school Together At Tall Oaks And They Were So Fun I Enjoyed Knowing Your Daughter And Us Going Threw Our Pregnancies Together. I Will Never Forget Her She Touched My Life In So Many Ways And I Cherished Our Friendship So Much. Though I Only Met You Once At The Student Parent Breakfast I Could Tell How Much Of A Bond You 2 Had And How Much She Talked About You In Class And Lunch You Were Her Bestfriend And You Always Will Be. I Have A Poem That She Wrote In This Poem Book We Started Together In 2006 That Matches This Topic Its Called Forever

My heart broke when I heard the news about Shai and my prayers are with you and your family. Shai was so sweet and on her way to making her mark on the world. I was so proud of her. She was always so polite and I enjoyed the conversations we shared. I can't imagine the pain you feel right now but know the Lord is our light and our salvation. I will miss Shai dearly.

I read the story about this beautiful young woman in the paper. My heart broke, I know what it is like to lose someone dear to your heart.It been 2yrs since I lost my sister and I am still dealing and adjusting from grief. I want to say this to you, let not your heart be troubled believe in god. In my father's house are many mansions, if it were so, i would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if i go and prepare a place for you. I will come again and receive you unto myself, that's where I am, there ye may be also. JOHN 14:2. This verse is very comforting to me. I hope that it will bring some comfort to you. I will keep you and her beautiful daughter and grandbaby in my prayers doing this trying time, Peace be still.

I am truly sorry to hear about what has happen to Shai.Iknow that Shai and I hav'nt seen each other in years but i do remember that me and her clicked so i do know that she had to have been sweet and fun to be around because that's the only people i hang around.I'm sorry that she had to leave us so soon because i was really looking forward to seeing her and the baby at our up and coming family reunion.But they say that god wont put to much that we can't bear just look at it like she is in a better place.

I can't tell you how deeply sadden we are for your lost. I remember when Shai was born and how happy you and your mom Gloria were to have a girl in the family amongst the boys. Treasure all the good times and pictures you have of Shai. She was your pride and joy. My prayer is that God continues to bless and keep you in perfect peace. Her beautiful smile, her zeal when she ministered in dance with her spiritual sisters (Angels Of Faith), her love for her family and friends are just a few things that will be missed about Shai. Each day is a new day missing Shai but never forgetting her. Now the Lord has her dancing to a new song in heaven and the troubles of this world is no more. Words can't express the hurt that is in the hearts of those who knew and LOVED Shai, she kept a beautiful smile, always had kind words, respectful towards others, just one who loved the people whom she came in contact with. My daughter danced with Shai at church was inspired by Shai talking to her letting her know that she can go back to school and accomplish her dreams after having her son. Words can not express how much Shai will be missed. Knowing that she knew God helps the Angels of Faith get through, not being able to see Shai or minister in dance with her.
