Dear daddy, I love you so much and I will miss you dearly. I wish I at least had one more day with you. I wish it didn't have to be you. You were and still are the best dad in the world and absolutely no one can take your place. People keep telling me that you are in a better place and I know it in my heart, but in my head I can't accept it even though I'm trying. Oh, and trust me I won't stop seeing Sandy, Rico, and Tisha because I know that you wouldn't like it if I did that and neither would I. If only I had one more day with you.

YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE MY HEART AND I WILL NEVER FORGET ABOUT YOU!! I AM TRUELY GOING TO MISS YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY, AND SEE YOU LATER!

Rick, We little knew this year that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for a part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us cheerful and peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Your family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.

We love you and you will be missed.

Dear Dad (Rick), we miss you more and more everyday. Things just don't seem the same without you, but we know you are in a better place. You taught us the meaning of respect and hard work. There is no such thing as our Step dad; you are our FATHER because you were always there when we needed you. You instilled in us the most important thing in life was our education. We use to think you were too hard on us, and we now we know why. Thank you for coming into our lives 16 years ago. You have made us the young adults we are, and we owe it ALL to you. The people closest to you knew that your family was the most important thing to you.

WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU EVERYDAY. NO ONE WILL EVER TAKE YOUR PLACE IN OUR HEARTS..AND WE WILL LOOK OUT FOR MOMMY!! #1 AS YOU USE TO CALL HER.

Rick If We Could Bring You Back Again

If we could bring you back again,
For one more hour or day,
We’d express all our unspoken love;
We’d have countless things to say.

If we could bring you back again,
We’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
Meant more than we ever knew.

If we could bring you back again,
To tell you what we should,
You’d know how much we miss you now,
And if we could, we would.

Sandy Just Call On Us.

I can’t comprehend just how sad you must feel
For the loss of Rick the one you love.
This sorrowful time must still feel unreal
And you’re looking for strength from above.

I hope, from Our hearts, that your pain will decrease,
That your spirit will gain strength again,
And We pray that your faith will create inner peace
And that God will send blessings-- As he always did. Sandy God have keep you for a long time know that he is still keeping you during this time as well. Sandy we love you.

Till then, if you need us to lighten your load,
We are waiting to come to your aid.
Just call on us, and we will walk down that road,
Until the dark times start to fade.

Deep condolences, From your old and still good frinds DeBorah & Robert, Joey, Russell, Big papa, Mike & cheryl,You know the Holloway's we love you Sandy and family.

IT'S BEEN A MONTH OF PAIN AND TEARS EVENTHOUGH I KNOW THAT RICK IS IN A BETTER PLACE IT STILL HURTS AND WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS THE DEEPEST FEELING THAT I HAVE. THE LORD ONLY KNOWS WHAT REALLY HAPPEN THAT DAY. I COULD ONLY WISH THAT I COULD HAVE HELP JUST TO SEE THAT SMILE ONE MORE DAY WOULD HAVE MEANT A LOT TO ME.THE COMFORT OF A TRUE FRIEND, HUSBAND, AND FATHER IS WHAT I CAN REMEMBER HE HAD IN HIM. UNTIL THE NEXT TIME WE MEET I WILL ALWAYS CHERISH THE WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIP WE HAD. REST FOR NOW AND TO THE FAMILY STAY STRONG I REALIZE THATS ITS HARD BUT A MOTHERS HEART IS A HEALING HEART.

It is still unbelievable that you are no longer with us in the physical, but you will always be with us in the spirit. WOW! We were remembering all the times we would plan, pack and party together at the Resorts! Those were the days! We were remembering the time when we went to the Waffle House in Williamsburg and you were carrying the big shoulder size videocamera taping everybody in the restaurant and everybody in the restaurant was asking if we were a Rap group and of course, you said we were and for a time we all felt famous because only we knew who we really were, but it didn't matter, it was fun! After a while we didn't hang the way we used to because our lives changed paths, but you were and will forever be in our hearts! To the Family, only God can feel the depth of your hurt, we can only imagine. Only time can heal what you're feeling, so please know we are keeping you lifted in prayer daily. It is our prayer that you will continue to seek God for his peace, comfort and destiny he has planned for each of your lives because God always has a plan far greater than we can see! In just a short time, we all will be with Rick again celebrating eternal life! He just got to the party before we did! Rick's life should remind us while we're down here to live, love and laugh as if it were our last every day! We Love You All Always, Rudy & Sabrina!

To Chaniece and family, may the unspoken words of caring and the silent prayers that come from within the heart give you strenght and peace. Don't be sad, be happy for him because, he's now in the house of the Lord where he has no more pain, sorrow or worries. I will keep all of you in my prayers. Chaniece I know you will really miss your father, but think about what your brother Malik said and what was said in church Rick will be with you always in your heart. Just think about the good times you had with him. I will miss him also, he never forgot to call me on my birthday, August 1th, that was the last time I talked to him. I love you all.

Chaniece & Missie,
No person is ever truly alone.
Those who live no more,Whom we loved, Echo still within our thoughts, Our words, our hearts.
And what they did And who they were
Becomes a part of all that we are,
Forever.

How do I say goodbye to a friend who was so full of life, energy, and love? I have so many mixed emotions; angry, hurt, and simply devastated as I know your family and other friends are. It is unrealistic that you are physically no longer here; that I can’t pick up the phone and hear your voice, and that our days of chilling playing cards talking trash with Bro & Bo have come to an end. Smoke, you were the one friend that I could say was genuine and stayed true to yourself for as long as I’ve known you. I will not shed any tears as hard as that may be, because I have too many fond memories. When I think of you not being here, I close my eyes and hear your voice saying “what’s up dog” and smile. I think of the times we’ve laughed, and just having fun period. You were the life of the party!! I was truly blessed to have a friend like you and you will be sorely missed. My prayer’s are with you and your family. Rest in peace my friend.

Love
Stacey

I can't express the hurt I felt upon hearing of Rick's untimely death. The hurt I felt was not just for Rick, but for his and my daughter, Chaniece. I pray that Chaniece and Rick's family find strength and comfort in the Lord to get past this difficult time. My blessings to everyone.
