Dear Bill and family,
Peggy Davis just called me and told
me about Betty, I'm so sorry. Bet she
and my Joe are up there catching up on
all the latest gossip. She was such a
good and fun person and I know you will miss her terribly.
I'm still at the beach, that's why I
wasn't at the funeral. Will keep all of you in my prayers.
Love and prayers,
Peggy Corbley

Mrs. Callaghan was one of my Mother's closest friends and one of my family's best friends. She had a heart of gold and was so kind to everyone. It was always a pleasure being invited to the Callaghans because their home was filled with so much love and you knew Betty would welcome you with open arms, share her entertaining stories and spread her laugh throughout the party. Mrs. Callaghan was a true Washingtonian and a dedicated Admiral's wife. She loved Bill, Trip, Chad and Cary and all of her grandchildren, family and friends. A true lady and a wonderful person. My love to all the Callaghans and Betty's family. I will think of her often and remember the great times we had with her.
Love,
Lee Williams
