Joe and Austin,
I want to tell you my whole family mourns your loss. Michael, my 8th grader had Melissa and Donna for 1st and 2nd grades, and she still remembered him and always spoke to him. Austin, Brian loved playing on your baseball team a few years ago and is happy to be in class with you this year. I fondly remember sitting on the hill with Melissa at Walkertown Elementary, watching the boys play ball, and sharing "gossip"! I will miss her and God Bless both of you. Austin, if you need anything, Brian wants to be there for you!
With Love, Janice

Dear Joe and Austin,
I was heartbroken when I went to church this morning and found out about Melissa. My thoughts and prayers are certainly with both of you. The last time I saw Melissa, I could tell that she wasn't feeling well, but she looked so beautiful. Her porcelain skin was glowing in the sunshine. Melissa was always so nice and kind to everyone, a great wife and mother. I will miss her dearly. May God bless both of you during this time. If you need us for anything, please let us know.

Joe and Austin, I had the privelege of meeting you as well as Melissa at Love's through a co-worker and friend of mine and yours Sharon Williams. Unfortunately, I did not get to know the both of you, but first appearances mean a lot. You never know the kind of people that God places in your life that will bless you even in ways you dont realize. I have heard so many wonderful things about Melissa. Many nights since Melissa's illness, God placed her on my mind and heart and a lot of prayers were prayed for her. But through all of this, my son Evan, made a new friend at church, Austin which was good for him since he was new at Love's and there arent many boys his age (either older or younger) at Love's and he and Austin became buddies. Evan is 9, almost 10 in April. We have been on a lot of Love's outings together. Just remember to lean on God in this time of sorrow and He will guide you, give you strength, encourage and love you. (Joshua 1:5 I will never leave you or forsake you.)
