KERNERSVILLE - James C. Utley died on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002. He was born in Cooleemee on August 9, 1935, the son of Clarence B. and Hazel (Williams) Utley. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Utley of the home; a daughter, Camille Rothrock and husband Zack of Lewisville; a son, Jay Utley and wife Jennifer of Danbury; a brother, John Utley of Baja, Calif.; six grandchildren, Ali Utley, Cody Utley, Aaron Pope, Morgan Rothrock, Sarah Durham and Amy Robertshaw; and three great-grandchildren, Zoe, Jenna and Isaac. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at Kernersville Main Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doctor Al Ward and the Rev. Chuck Smithers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Potter's House, 1218 E. 25th St., Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Arrangements are entrusted to Hanes-Lineberry Pierce Chapel in Kernersville.
