Jason Aaron Thomas, 26, of Wytheville died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, at 3 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Deloris Shelton and the Rev. Ralph Alley officiating. Interment will be in the Thomas Family Cemetery. He was born April 20, 1982, in Wythe County. He attended the Austinville Assembly of God and Power of Deliverance churches. He was employed by Diversco Inc. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Wayne Thomas. Survivors include his father, Robert "Bobby" Sr. and Beth Thomas of Max Meadows; his mother, Eva and Bobby Akers of Wytheville; two sons, Aidan Aaron Thomas and Gabriel Issiah Thomas, both of Laurel Fork; fiancée and mother of his children, Krissy Warf of Laurel Fork; brother, Robert "Robby" Thomas Jr. of San Diego, Texas; maternal grandmother, Dora Bise Mabe of Wytheville; stepsister, Veronica Kenny of Woodlawn; stepbrother, Raymond Payne Jr. of Mt. Airy, N.C.; nephew, Devin Schrier of New Philadelphia, Ohio; and several friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
