David Crotts Obituary

David Olser Crotts, 49, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was born in Carroll County, on March 27, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, Osler Edgar Crotts and Nannie Mae Martin Crotts, his brother, Otis Crotts and his sister, Barbara Hawks. Survivors include his loving wife Alberta Pauline Crotts; stepson, Martin Thomas of Marion; stepgrandson, Josh Thomas; brother Larry Crotts of Hillsville; half-sister, Wanda Martin of West Virginia; mother-in-law Virgie Thomas of Chilhowie; four sisters-in-law, Rachel Thomas of Saltville, Sue Thomas of Saltville, Patsy Greene and husband, Steve, of Meadowview and Angel Thomas of Glade Spring; brother-in-law Kermit Thomas Jr. and wife, Patsy, of Bristol, Tenn.; special friends Tori Burke and Charles Wolfe; and several nieces, nephews, step-nieces and step-nephews. Funeral services were conducted Oct. 14, at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Rev. Terry Frye officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olivett Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion was in charge of the arrangements.
