Katherine "Katy" Bradley

Mrs. Katherine "Katy" Litz Bradley, 85, a former well-known resident of Abingdon, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, in Lexington, Ky. She was the widow of the late Abram "Mack" Bradley of Abingdon. Born in Catlettsburg, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Hershel Litz and Nell Rous Litz.  She was a current resident of Lexington, where she had resided since 2004.  She was a member of Abingdon United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Philip Bradley of Richmond.; daughter, Elaine Rutherford of Lexington; two grandsons, Tripp Rutherford of Lexington and Justin Bradley of Richmond; and two granddaughters, Lindsay Rutherford of Lexington and Jeanie Bradley of Richmond. Graveside services for Mrs. Katherine L. Bradley were conducted Oct. 21 in the Knollkreg Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating.  Honorary pallbearers were Mark Bradley, Charles Whitman, Allen Litz, Andrew Owens, Joe Booth, Bob Gilmer, Randy Coffey. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Abingdon United Methodist Church, 101 E. Main St., Abingdon, VA 24210 in memory of Mrs. Katherine L.
