Cletia Corvin

Cletia Nuckolls Corvin, 88, of Wytheville died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. at the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harvey Atkinson officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. She was a retired manager from Jafree Shirt Co. and was employed in food service at Carrington Place at Wytheville. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hattie Felty Nuckolls; and her husband, Walter Troy Corvin. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Bowles of Wytheville; two grandchildren and spouses, Teresa and Steven Hardin of Wytheville, Deanna and John Bayless of Ardmore, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren, Keri Hardin and Tyler Hardin, both of Wytheville, and Hank Bayless of Tennessee; and special caregiver, Alma Mutter of Max Meadows. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. (service time) at the Grubb Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Advent Lutheran Church, 3570 West Lee Highway, Wytheville, VA 24382; or a charity of choice. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
