Elmer L. Alley

Elmer Lee Alley, 71, of Austinville died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at his residence. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Barnes officiating. Interment was in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. He was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Carroll County, son of the late Roby and Hazel Sisk Alley. He was a member of the Sheeptown Church of God and was retired from Branch Highways Inc. of Roanoke. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Ann Bishop Alley; and a brother, Belford Alley. Survivors include his wife, Lois Quesenberry Alley of Austinville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald Alley, Scott and Rose Alley, all of Austinville; three grandchildren, Damon Alley and wife Stacey, Nathan Alley and Lora Beth Alley; great-grandson, Camden Alley; brother, Thurman Alley of Austinville; and several nieces and nephews. Reese Funeral Home in Austinville was in charge of the arrangements.
