Nina Dunford Obituary

Nina Lou Martin Dunford, 65, of Austinville died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008. Funeral service was held Thursday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Tommy Barnes, Gary Wheeler and James Price officiating. She was born Sept. 11, 1943, in Carroll County, daughter of the late Telford M. and Hazel Roberts Martin. She attended the Sheeptown Church of God and was retired from Burlington Industries. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Leon Martin. Survivors include her husband, Harold M. Dunford Sr. of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Duane and Carolyn Dunford of Austinville, Gerald Lee and Vivian Dunford of Austinville, Harold Mitchell Jr. and Wanda Dunford of Woodlawn, Anthony Lane and Ramona Dunford of Austinville; seven grandchildren, Josh Dunford, Brian Harrel, Amanda Dunford, Kimberly Dunford, Zackary Dunford, Alanna Dunford and Levi Dunford; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry Norvell and Cleo Martin of Elgin, S.C., Danny and Frances Martin of Pulaski, George and Sheila Martin of Pulaski; sister and brother-in-law, Pandoria and Alfred Talbert of Dublin; and several nieces and nephews. Reese Funeral Home in Austinville was in charge of the arrangements.

Nina was a VERY SPECIAL PERSON in my life. She was always honest and straight forward and told you exactly what you needed to hear. Never sugar coating it. She was like a second mom to me and I will miss her dearly.
