I worked with Estel at Long-Airdox and I too was a fellow musician. We would talk everyday about music and the areas we were playing at the time.I have sinced moved from the area and often times had wondered how he was and if we was still playing any music. He dearly loved it and as with all musicians you loved reminicing and talking about as we always did.He will be truely missed but he is with some of the best musicians and singers ever lived now.May God bless!!!!

To the family of Estel McClanahan and especially Alma. I did not know Mr. McClanahan but I know he was loved by his family and was a veteran. I can relate to Estel as a Veteran in Korea as my father was a POW in Korea for 27 months. He has passed on. My prayers are with you and from our agency Washington County Dept. of Social Services and myself as Fraud Investigator, my thoughts are with the family

I worked with Estel at Long Airdox, Rural Retreat, for many years and would often stop to see him about lawn mowers. He was a good man and will be missed.

I am sad to hear of this news. My heartfelt condolences to the family. I jus found out this morning when my daughter, Leslie, called me. She had seen it in the newspaper. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Uncle Estel was one of a kind.
