Johnny M. Mulkey Sr.

Johnny Miles Mulkey Sr., 66, of Speedwell died Monday, Nov.17, 2008. A memorial service was held Friday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. at the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Newberry officiating. Interment was in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Maude Martin Mulkey. Survivors include his companion, Melissa Pauley of Cripple Creek; daughter, April Gayle Mulkey of Cripple Creek; five sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny Mulkey Jr. of Speedwell, Michael and Heather Mulkey of Speedwell, Stracey and Laura Mulkey of Radford, Keith and Stephanie Mulkey of Wytheville, and Howard Rakes of Wytheville; three sisters, Margaret Morris and Halley Mulkey, both of Bland; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Mulkey of Speedwell and Roxie Meadview; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
