Mildred Coleman Obituary

Mildred Coleman, age 81 of Deltona, Fla., formerly of War, W.Va. and Richlands, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior Tues., Nov. 18, 2008, following a lengthy illness. She lived with her daughter, Karen Coleman in Deltona, Fla. Born Feb. 18, 1927 in Rameystown, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Charles Williams and Amanda McIntosh Williams of Warriormine, W.Va. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gleason Coleman who passed away June 2, 2001; five sisters and five brothers. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and compassionate nurse. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include four daughters, Karen Coleman of Deltona, Fla., Carrie Whitler of Ocala, Fla., Debbie Dennis of Salvisa, Ky., and Sherry Coleman of Ocala Fla.; two sons, Ronald Coleman of Blountville, Tenn., and Michael Coleman of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one brother, Warren Williams of Houston, Texas. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sat., Nov. 22, 2008 at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. Burial followed at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Relatives and friends served as pallbearers. The family received friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Fri., Nov. 21. 2008.

Karen, Ronnie and family, sorry to hear of the death of your mother, i was visiting my mother in Florida and never got back until the 3rd of dec. when a school mate called me and told me of her death.After all the years that its been since we have talked and laughed still remember a lot of the good times. Your family always made me feel welcome in your home when we were growing up. Again prayers and warm thoughts for you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Mother's death. She and your Dad were always so sweet to me and I really thought the world of them. I'm unable to attend the wake/funeral but please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May God watch over and protect you all as you travel back to your homes.
