Kathy Dianne Walls Holmes

Kathy Dianne Walls Holmes, 47, of Saltville passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, in Abingdon. She was born Jan. 18, 1961, in Washington County and was a daughter of Pauline Walls of Bristol, Tenn., and the late, John M. Walls. She was Deputy Treasurer for the Washington County Treasurer's Office. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Tester, and her mother-in-law, Eileen Holmes. Survivors, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Mike Holmes; her brother, John Walls of Bristol, Tenn.; her sisters, Linda Ahmed of Richmond, Patty White of Sellersburg, Ind., and Faye Walls of Blountville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Kathy Holmes were conducted Dec. 3 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with the Rev. James Allen. Interment was in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association are preferred.
