Katy Robinson Whitt Hutton

Katy Robinson Whitt Hutton, 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tenn. She was born in Rich Valley to the late James Robinson and Dora Richardson Robinson and was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, James Alvin Whitt and her second husband, Burl Hutton, one son, James Alvin Whitt Jr., one grandson, David Timothy (Tim) Wagoner, and brothers and sisters. She was retired from Harwood and was a very active member of the Wassum Valley Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother who loved her children, her church, gardening and was known to all as "Granny." Survivors include Dorothy Wagoner and husband, David, Les Whitt and Tammy, Bobby Whitt and Patty, Kathy Farris and husband, Stephen, all of Marion; brother, Benny Robinson of Marion; grandchildren, Tommy Wagoner, Tony Wagoner, Keith Whitt, Stacy Whitt, Lori Taylor, Mike Whitt, Matthew Whitt, Josh Whitt, Angie Blevins, Bobby Jo, Becky, Mickey Whitt, Bradley Farris, Brian Farris, and Uriah Farris; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; special people in her life, Charlie Havens, Dee Havens, Billy Whitt; several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Wanda and Joyce of Pennsylvania, and Jenny of Chilhowie. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Wassum Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Blevins officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with the Rev. Guy Testerman officiating. The family received friends Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m. at Bradley's Funeral Home or any time at the residence of Bobby Whitt, 587 Shale Bank Road, Marion. Flowers were appreciated or memorial contributions can be made to the Wassum Valley Baptist Church, 349 Church Hill Road, Marion.
