June Crouse Obituary

June Pickle Crouse, 82, of Roanoke, formerly of Marion, died on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009. She was born April 3, 1926 and was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lockie Mae Tugman Pickle, her husband, James William Crouse, brothers, Wade and Charles Pickle, and sister, Lois Pickle. Survivors include a son, William (Bill) and wife, Joyce W. Crouse of Troutville; special sister, Gladys and husband, the Rev. Billy Dean of Marion; brothers, Billy and wife, Linda Pickle, of La Plata, Md., Bobby and wife, Barbara Pickle, of Marbury, Md., Darrell and wife, Judy Pickle, of Bristol; brothers-in-law, Algie and wife, Patsy Crouse, of Marion, Arnold and wife, Virginia Crouse, of Callaway; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held at noon Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Bobby J. Pickle and the Rev. Chris Kingery officiating. Interment was in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at Oakey's North Chapel. Oakey's North Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
