Joyce H. Strahorn

Joyce Hudson Strahorn, 69, of Lothian, Md., formerly of Wythe County (the Porter's Crossroads community), died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, in Lothian, Md. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m. at Baker's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Revs. James Tunnell and Earl Hanks officiating. Interment was in the Olive Branch Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her father, Marzelle M. Hudson; a sister, Carolyn Dunford; and a stepson, Tony Strahorn. Survivors include her husband, William T. Strahorn of Lothian, Md.; mother, Mabel Poole Hudson of the Porter's Crossroads community; two stepsons, Kenny Strahorn of Lothian, Md., and Billy Strahorn of California; a brother-in-law, Cecil Dunford of Rural Retreat; and many other relatives and friends. Reese Funeral Home in Austinville was in charge of the arrangements.
