Treasa Davis Obituary

Treasa Dale Porter Davis, 48, of Wytheville, the Crockett's Cove community, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ed Richardson and Gary Cope officiating. Interment was in the Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery. She was born March 28, 1960, in Wytheville, daughter of the late the Rev. Garland and Edna Shores Porter. She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma P. Williams. Survivors include her husband, Floyd Davis of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Keisha and Kenneth Ray Hatfield, Christina Bishop and Michelle Crigger, all of Wytheville; three stepchildren, Linda Tate of Wytheville, Sandy Mabe of Rural Retreat and Samuel Davis of Wytheville; two grandchildren, Tyrus Miller and Ethan Hatfield, both of Wytheville; three stepgrandchildren, Christopher Whalen of Wytheville, Steven Dalton and Matthew Rose, both of Rural Retreat; two sisters, Nina Rose of Wytheville and Judy Porter of Fries; special friends, Jeannie and Mike Rose of Austinville; and several nieces and nephews. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
