Anna Laura Woods Adams

Anna Laura Woods Adams, 92, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 in Francis Marion Manor in Marion. She was born in Sugar Grove on Aug. 11, 1916 to the late C.W. Woods and Laura Pickett Woods. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete, Boss and Buck, and four sisters, Frances, Irene, Bessie and Viola. She was employed as a cook at Marion Senior High School and had attended Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She is survived by three special nieces, Doris Burnett, Margaret "Polly" Hall and Evelyn Sledge; and numerous other loving nieces and nephews. A great host of friends also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donna Hester officiating. Interment will follow in the Roundhill Cemetery with Pastor Gary Trout officiating.
