I AM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS!

Altho I'm somewhat a stranger to your family, the words Burke's Garden, VA, stood out and then I saw the names Betty and Kent Hoge.

I left Burke's Garden in 1951 to work for the FBI. I am saddened to learn of the loss of those in or from Burke's Garden and anyone related to them.

I am so sorry for your loss. Annie was such a sweet person. She looked out for Dellavene while they were room mates. Annie and Dellavene are still together and Mark is with them and he is most likely making them laugh. God Bless.

Betty, Jane and family,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I honestly did not know that she was at Valley Health Care, but I have been told that my mother (Hester Lamie) and sister (Norma Thompson) visited her there when my mother was living.
I have always heard good things about Mrs. Crabtree. She was always so good to us. Memories are something that we can keep and Mrs. Crabtree sure did leave lots of them. Yes, we were neighbors for so long, but continued to be friends even after moving away. I still have wonderful memories, even if I am forgetful, I did not forget Mrs. Crabtree. I think of her every time I go by the "old homeplace" and I think of how the family allowed me to learn to drive my first car in the lot in front of that home.
This family holds a dear place in my heart. I thank you for allowing me to "grow up" around such a solid and respected family.
I do pray that God will bless you with great strength throughout all of the coming days, months and years. There is no one that can take a mother's place, but I pray for you to receive solace and joyous memories when you think of her.

Sorry, for your loss. Remember she's not suffering now and she will be in the presents of the Lord daily
in a beautiful place.
